The Samsung Wave is powered by Samsung’s new open mobile platform ‘bada’. This means Wave owners can download a variety of high-quality applications including: games, e-books, utility apps, and more. Thanks to Samsung’s new ‘Social Hub’ service, the Wave also offers the most fully-integrated messaging platform available. This includes push email, schedule syncing, and simple Phonebook access to SNS, IM and email. The Wave’s premium Super AMOLED display, high-powered processor and advanced multi-media features deliver unmatched, rich-graphic, entertainment experiences. Despite all these features the Wave is ultra-slim, exquisitely crafted from a one-piece aluminum cast, and beautifully curved with a tempered glass display that features the latest in smudge-resistant technology.

  • (1) 1GHz Application Processor : Power like never before

The Wave is powered by a super-charged 1Ghz processor that supports rich cutting-edge graphics. The new processor is specifically designed to enable a level of mobile experience that is not previously possible. With 1GHz clock speed and a large L2 cache, the new processor can easily handle real-time applications, while supporting the latest 3D games thanks to a powerful 3D graphics engine. Allied to this, there is a HD (720p) codec engine that delivers 30fps HD video in both recording and playback mode.
In summary, the Wave provides the best 3D graphics performance available, and presents a unique opportunity for developers to create immersive and rich apps for the Wave device.

  • (2) Super AMOLED : A more vivid and realistic display

The Wave is equipped with a Super AMOLED Display. By removing the touch sensor panel and the air gaps, the images are crisper, the colors more vivid, the contrast higher, and the body slimmer. The ultra-brilliance of Super AMOLED makes video and games so clear that your display seems alive. Super AMOLED also provides an incredible free viewing angle to share content with friends, super fast touch responsiveness, and WVGA (480 X 800) 400cd brightness.
With such impressive credentials it is not surprising that many leading game titles have already been developed for the bada platform. The Wave maximizes the reality and value of your 3D game. Once serious mobile gamers experience the awesome features of the Wave, they may well throw their other smartphones away.

  • (3) 802.11n : Greater network speeds

The Wave is the world’s first 802.11n equipped phone. This means potential data speeds 10-times faster than current Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.11b and 802.11g. This level of network connectivity opens up entirely new opportunities for traditionally bandwidth-hungry application such as Location-based services and Social networking.
With the Wave, previous application development obstacles that existed because of low data transfer speeds have now been removed.
